RENOVATION OF A VILLAGE HOUSE

This project involves an existing 19th-century rural folk house located in the Záhorie region. The house serves as a weekend retreat for an extended family.

The interior study demonstrates respect for traditional values and preserved regional features, while also bringing modern comfort and a focus on the wellbeing of its inhabitants.

Sensitive interventions in the existing historical structure allowed for the space to be brightened and furnished in a minimalist style that highlights the original features and details. This creates a harmonious contrast between the traditional architecture and the modern, functional interior, which meets the needs of contemporary living.
